The Village of East Alton will conduct a “Village Spring Cleanup” the week of May 19-23!

Beginning Monday, May 19th, during your normal garbage pick-up day that week, residents may put out bulk items and general rubbish and junk not suitable for regular garbage pick-up. Items not allowed: electronics, tires, shingles, car parts, concrete, hazardous materials such as oil, paint, asbestos, etc.

CLEANUP WILL ONLY OCCUR ON YOUR SCHEDULED TRASH DAY.

If you have items that need removed after your trash day has passed, you may take them to the Drop-Off Center that week for no charge.

In order to take advantage of the Village Spring Cleanup, all items must be placed in the area of your regular trash pick-up by 6:00am on your regularly scheduled trash pick-up day the week of May 19th. Your water, sewer, and/or trash bill must be up to date and in good standing to participate.

IF YOUR TRASH BILL IS NOT UP TO DATE, YOUR ITEMS WILL NOT BE PICKED UP FOR SPRING CLEANUP WEEK & YOU MAY RECEIVE A FINE FROM ZONING IF ITEMS ARE SET OUT. PLEASE PAY PAST DUE TRASH BILLS TO ENSURE YOUR ITEMS ARE PICKED UP FOR SPRING CLEAN-UP!
